In terms of eyeshadow shades we’ve seen a trend for red-toned products and I happened to have a perfect product for it. Here’s proof you can achieve a great look without blending together 574 other shadows!

For primer I’m using the Benefit Porefessional applied with my fingers. I chose this one for it’s blurring effect and because this particular primer plays quite well with my foundation of choice.

My foundation of choice is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Stick Foundation in shade Y135. I applied a few swipes on key points of the face and buffed in with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

I used MAC Paint Pot in the shade Painterly as eye primer; I applied all over the lid (from lash line to brow bone) using my fingers.

While the Paint Pot “sets”, I start doing my eyebrows using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Medium Brown. I first brush them up with the spooley brush side, then fill them in with the angled pencil.

And now for the centerpiece of this look: I applied the ColourPop Supershock Shadow in shade Porter on the lid using my finger. Then using a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush, I blended towards the crease, making sure to get rid of any sharp lines.

I lined the upper lash line using Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in shade Zero, then used the same Real Techniques brush to smoke the color out, particularly on the outer v. I also lightly lined the lower lash line and smudged it with my finger. Not pictured, I lined the top water line, too.

For mascara I used Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara, applying several coats to both top and bottom lashes.

With NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Custard, I applied a couple of dots under the eyes and cheeks, then blended using a Real Techniques Bold Metals Concealer Triangle Brush.

I do this one step with the same product so often, I don’t even know if it’s worth repeating, but here goes: I set the concealer using this Benefit Hello Flawless Powder Foundation in the shade Honey. I applied the product using an EcoTools Bamboo Large Powder Brush.

Using another Benefit product, this time the Hoola Bronzer, I lightly contoured the forehead, under the cheekbones, and chin. I used the brush that comes in the box to apply and blend.

And here’s another Benefit product, the Rockateur Blush, also applied with the brush that comes with it because I clearly don’t feel like cleaning a ton of brushes (those do get washed though… eventually)

I may not be on board the contour craze, but highlighting is a whole different story. I used theBalm Mary Lou Manizer applied with a random fan brush on top of the cheekbones, nose, and top lip.

I also took a tiny bit of the highlighter and applied in in the inner corners of the eye using my finger

Finally for the lips, I first lined with MAC Lip Liner in the shade Soar, then filled the lips in with Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick in shade Petale de Rose. I am IN LOVE with this product! Not only is the shade gorgeous, the product lasts forever on my lips!

One more thing: I’ve gotten into the habit of putting a bit of brow gel to fix the brows in place (I tend to mess them up a bit when I powder). Here I used Benefit 3D Browtones in shade 4

And there you have it, the finished look!
