It’s been a while since I’ve tested budget-friendly brands brands, and particularly, foundations. I’ve always been a fan of Maybelline products and after reading good reviews about this foundation, I thought I’d give it a try.

Product Description:   Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation helps skin appear completely poreless with our first liquid mousse foundation. Our lighweight, air-whipped liquid blends on to transform the look of skin. From flawless to impeccable, even coverage. Our new satin perfect finish!

The product comes in a glass bottle with a pump system containing 30 ml (1 oz) of product and retails at around 11€ (Or £9), depending on where you buy.

What’s good about

  • It has a light to medium coverage that applies easily using a brush or fingers
  • The texture and finish gives your face a beautiful dewy finish without looking oily
  • Very hard to get a high quality product for this price! The product tends to be cheaper online than at the drugstore, at least that seems to be the case where I live im Belgium.
What’s not so good about it:

  • The color selection is very bad. I got the shade 30 Sand which is a bit too light for me and the next darker shade 40 Fawn is too red.
  • If you have very dry skin, this might emphasize your dry patches. This is something not specific to this product, lots of these “dewy finish” foundations tend to do that.
  • Paola’s mood after using this product:
